Presentation night – Friday 10 July

7.30pm for an 8pm sharp start. Tickets are £3 each. Carmen has been booked for disco and karaoke.

Please ensure that your players write their name and team on the ticket stub. Only those players present on the night will go into the prize draw. Maggie Frost will be on the door collecting stubs. This prize draw is for league members only, not guests.

As last year, tickets will be available on the night but cannot be guaranteed a seat at your team table, since these will have been set up earlier in the afternoon. Buying your ticket a week before guarantees you a seat. Anytime after this does not. You will have to find your own seat – please don’t nick one from another team’s table!

Teams should make their own food arrangements. Tricia is planning a fish and chip order so see her if you wish to join in on it.

Each team is required to bring a £10 raffle prize or £10 cash. These were all received at the meeting.

All trophies except those held by the Drifters and Plough Birds have been returned; these clubs have arranged to drop them off to Jane by Thursday.

Jane pointed out that all teams that have won a trophy will get up to 10 individual awards for the team. If you do have more players and want extra trophies, these must be ordered as soon as possible. You have 1 week from today to do this. N.B. Because only 7 players make up a team for the Grace Ford cup, there will be only 7 trophies ordered.

AGM Tuesday 28 July

This year has really flown by and the AGM is so close already. Someone from each team must be present in order for the team to enter the league next season.

Nominations for committee: please send names to Secretary Tricia Smith asap by text or letter so we can get their names on the voting forms. You must ask the person first if they are willing to stand.

Committee members must be able to commit time, not to everything but the majority of things including cup finals. Committee meetings are usually held straight after league meetings for convenience.

The constitution allows for a maximum of 12 on the committee, including the Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.

Proposals for rule changes and any other matters for discussion at the AGM must be given in writing to Tricia Smith by 30 June. Tricia’s email address  is on the yellow result cards.

Kay said she has already requested discussion of 3 legs/5 legs etc. We need to get this documented and keep our Constitution current. She asked teams to think of any issues that have arisen this year, not that many have. Even if you just want to discuss something, now is your time.

Kay thanked everyone for a very good season and pointed out that everyone seemed to get on. We are now looking forward to the presentation night.

Treasurer advised she had received £96 league fees (March, April, May, June fees).

Next meeting AGM Tuesday 28 July 2015, 7.30pm at Ambleside.

Meeting closed 8.30pm.
