Presentation night - Friday 12 July at Ambleside

Tickets £3 each – these were sold by Jane Schroder (Treasurer) before the meeting; please ensure that your players write their name and team on the ticket stub. Only the tickets of those present on the night will go into the prize draw and Maggie Frost will be on the door collecting them. You will be able to buy additional tickets on the night but committee need to know approximate numbers beforehand so we can arrange tables and chairs accordingly.

Teams should make their own food arrangements.

Each team is required to provide a £10 raffle prize but only Flying Pockets brought one to the meeting. Kay Ford (Chair) apologised for not reminding teams of this at the last meeting; in lieu of prizes £10 in cash was collected from most teams and Kay will buy the prizes. 3 teams are still to bring their £10 cash along on the night for collection by Jane; these are Amblers, Castle Ladies and WBL B.

Nominations for committee

Gladys Pope is standing down and there are 2 nominations so far: Tracey Golding (SCC) and Carol Burrell (WBL).

Anyone else willing to stand should please phone Tricia Smith (Secretary) in the next week and let her know. Kay does not want a repeat of last year when she had to chase round contacting people who knew nothing about being nominated!

Rule changes

Proposals for rule changes to be considered at the AGM must be given in writing to Tricia Smith by the end of June.  They will be published on the website to facilitate discussion ahead of the AGM itself.

Kay Ford advised that she wishes to make a rule change so that cup match draws are brought forward to 8pm. She will submit this proposal in writing to Tricia.

Chairperson’s AOB

Kay announced the sad news of the death of Maisie from Castle Ladies. She played for years and in fact we can’t remember the league without Maisie in it.

The Miley bar in Rochford has approached the League about entering a team next season. They have been told that they must attend the AGM to seek election into the League.

Kay thanked everyone for coming to the meetings regularly throughout the year.

Maggie Frost thanked the committee for all they did.

Treasurer advised she had received £48 league fees.

Next meeting will be the AGM on Wednesday 24 July 2013. Please bring:

·         Player registration forms (no fees required until September meeting)
